BECOMING A VOLUNTEER

Volunteer opportunities available only for those who have participated in a retreat at Nimea Kaya prior. We prefer those interested in volunteering to allow adequate time to process and integrate the ceremonial experience before returning to join the Nimea Kaya team which is typically about 6 months. Depending on your prior experience with plant medicines and other spiritual and self development practices, we may require attendance to two retreats before volunteering with us. We have preference for those that can offer additional healing modalities such as massage/body work or can teach yoga and meditation classes. Having attended our ayahuasca healing retreat prior is a requirement as you will receive the experience and knowledge of how we uniquely facilitate which will assist you in doing the same for others.

Volunteer activities include: Preparing the Center for group arrival, assisting in ceremonies, participation in retreat activities kitchen help, and light maintenance of the grounds.

Volunteer contribution hours are approx. 5 hours per day while retreats are in session. Much of this time is spent with the guests helping them process. The contribution hours in between retreats are minimal as this time is given to the volunteers to focus on their own healing, growth & personal ceremonies.

Volunteer program includes private accommodations in our resident house and all meals.

Ceremonies with our Shipibo Curanderos will be available at a discounted price between retreats.

We prefer our volunteers to commit to staying for three months yet if you are not able to stay for this amount of time we are able to be flexible. Volunteer fees: $300 per month.
